The Espelho Beach was elected by the Quatro Rodas Guide the third most beautiful beach of the Brazilian coast, because of its natural pools, cliffs, rocks and rivers that, encountering at the ocean, give a special season to the South coast of Bahia
It is about 20 km far from the south of Trancoso city and 80 km far from Porto Seguro and the distance betweem them is paved with single track.
In the way to Espelho Beach, the section among Trancoso city and Caraíva is a made of road and has amazing sceneries as the Valley of the Buffaloes, a broad valley, where are raised approximately 5000 buffalo heads in a extensive way, always in harmony with the place’s flora and fauna.
In the same stretch, there is the Indian reserve of Imbiriba and more ahead the Itaporanga Village, where it is worth making a stop (see tips).
Itaporanga Village is 5 km far from the Outeiro das Brisas Condominium, always keeping in the left of the road. In this condominium, the Espelho Beach Restaurants are placed.
The ammount and people’s movement is restricted mainly by the difficult access, which prevents the presence of itinerants and makes the place ideal for couples and families who search for rest, peace and comfort.
The Espelho Beach is in the south of Curuípe beach, and they are separated only by the Espelho Stream. When there is a low tide, the natural pools that enchant the landscape can be enjoyed.
Ao norte da praia do Curuípe está a Praia dos Amores, uma praia pequena cercada de falésias, areia grossa e piscinas naturais, entretanto seu acesso é feito somente na maré baixa, um lugar romântico, ideal para casais em lua de mel. In the north of Curuipe is Amores Beach, a small beach surrounded by cliffs, thick sand and natural pools, although its access is only by low tide, it is a romantic place, ideal for couples that are enjoying there honeymoon.
